It’s that time of year again… seriously, where has the time gone?!

I must say I love the festive season – the fun and excitement in the air, spending time with friends and family, eating yummy food with a glass of bubbles.

However, I also know how overwhelming gift-giving can be. So, I’ve put together some inspiration with Birth Beats top picks for Mum, Dad, baby and children.

This year, my focus is quality, not quantity. Gifts that are actually practical or useful. Plus, something important to me –  supporting small or regional businesses as much as possible!

Gifts for children

My tips:

• Opt for gifts that promote fun, mental or physical learning and devlopment.
• Presents that don’t include plastic, or little pieces that can be messy, or even choking hazards. However, be sure to get prepared with our FREE choking guide.
• Presents that don’t need batteries, especially button batteries. At least 1 child needs to go to hospital every day in Australia due to ingesting button batteries. When swallowed, they can cause severe internal bleeding and can be fatal. See more here.
